How The Smart House Was Built
♪ Have the technologies of “smart houses” in Russia?
♪ In our country, the market for " intelligent " houses only emerged in the late 1990s, so today a fully automated building is very rare, unlike in the West, where " smart houses " started much earlier. Russia has not yet been very active in Western experience, " smart " houses and apartments are only in millionaire cities such as Moscow or St. Petersburg. But there has been some progress in this segment over the past few years. The inhabitants have become more interested in the " intellectual " systems, and now the " smart " houses have reached Catherineburg, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok. But the equipment to make the house a " smart " status, and today is much more commonly installed in cottages and elite apartments. In the view of IT-market specialists, the segment of " smart houses " has already outstripped the elite real estate and its users are gradually becoming middle-class. According to the construction companies, in 2013, the Russian market for smart house systems increased by 30 per cent, to 3.7 billion roubles, the figures for 2014 - 2015 fell slightly due to the economic situation and its impact on the real estate market. The builders were more focused on economic-class housing. By 2017, however, the total amount of " smart " housing is projected to reach about 7 to 10 billion roubles.
